A Selection of AMC Cars

Below is a sampling of some of the many cars, both AMC's engineering fleet and lease vehicles, that my father brought home from work each week/year.  AMC purists can see the cars as they were in the 1960's and 70's by inspecting the details in these images.  The model year is given in the image name.  Click on each image to see the enlargement....

The 1971 Javelin AMX Pace Car used at Michigan International Speedway (MIS)
seen here at a recent AMC show now restored and owned by Rommie MacDonald of Ludington, MI.
I drove this car hundreds of miles for two evenings and filled out a report for my father on the merits of an experimental
roof-mounted rear view mirror (since removed) that was being investigated.  Needless to say, I never forgot the fun
this head turning car produced!  It's wonderful to see it preserved in such a marvelous way.  And, yes, it was loud and fast!
