Machine Shop
The Physics and Astronomy Department has both general
and student machine shops that offer machining and technical support for
department faculty and student projects. The main shop houses a Bridgeport
vertical mill and metal lathe along with a variety of cutters, grinders,
welders, fastener bins, drill press, and an electronics workbench. The
student shop has a smaller mill and lathe, band saw, drill press, and workbench.
