| Measuring Penny
Lisa's homework assignment was to measure something in as many ways as possible and o be creative. She chooses to measure Penny, her dog (and some others). She measures using inches, dog biscuits, cotton swabs, and more. She also measures how much Penny eats, how fast she runs, and how high she jumps. Lisa also uses the see-saw as a balance to compare the weight of her dog to other dogs. The measurements are recorded in charts that are worked in to the illustrations. It is a great book to go along with teaching students different ways to measure things. |
