This story is yet another version of the song "There Was an Lady Who Swallowed a Fly."  The book maintains the same rhyme and pattern as the original song.  The book, however, is about a lady who wants a star and as the story says, "I don't know why she wanted a star - It seemed to far."  In the end, she does catch a star and returns home with it for her son.  The humorous, fictional stray could be a great starting point for some discussion on the size of stars and how far away they really are.
