The Fall 2006 trip held the promise of many an autumn trip with October usually providing some respit from clouds. Not so this year. Skies were unusually warm and humid. As it would turn out only a brief window opened for us to view a few tantilizing objects with limited scopes on Friday evening before being clouded out completely. Alas, Jack Underwood managed to pull in the Tigers' World Series game with his highly accurate, calculated TV antenna set up in the kitchen area (the kitchen area now boasts cable access and Internet as of Jan '07), and Doreen and Sharon's second Halloween contest made for fun times after dinner Saturday, with Bob and Scott presiding as cookie judges. Bob Justin was awarded a commorative digital wall clock for his years of Fish Lake and observatory exploits. And who can forget Norbert's and Jason's rockets punching easily into the cloud deck Saturday afternoon.
