Fish Lake Winter Term Trip
March 19-21, 2004

Fish Lake in March is always dicey... clouds or clear?  Well, how about both at the strangest times.  It was clear when we arrived Friday afternoon allowing for some nice views of the Sun with the Delta College Coronado H-alpha filter brought over by Kevin Dehne.  But then the clouds foiled our evening observing.  The same would hold true for Saturday night... on and off clear then cloudy.  Still, we saw a fair number of stars and the Sun.  Fun was had by all no matter. The department C14's new GEM mount and new Orion computer guided 10-inch Intellescope Dobsonian got their first tryouts on this trip. The final voyage of the patriotic G-powered rocket commenced when the tree dragons gobbled it up at the end of a fine flight.  What follows are a host of images from the weekend...
