
Fish Lake
The club sponsors 3 to 4 field trips to Fish Lake (K.E.E.C., EMU's remote
biology reserve near Lapeer, MI) annually. KEEC is located in an
area where skies allow viewing of faint astronomical objects such as clusters,
comets, galaxies and more. Telescopes up to 14" in aperture (or larger),
some with computer interface and CCD imagers, are used weather permitting.
If you don't own a telescope, several of them will be available to look
through. The 240 acre site also allows for wonderful nature hikes, large
rocket launches, and recreational activities. Such fun!! A modest
fee covers 2 nights stay, 3 cafeteria-style meals, and activities for most
trips.
