A
lot has happened in astronomy in recent months...Galileo's arrival at Jupiter,
new planets discovered around select stars, the Hubble Space Telescope's
deep views of the universe, and new comets that will become visible from
your back yard with the nake eye. The results have been tantalizing!
I will summarize some of the new findings and give pointers on when and
where to observe Comets Hale-Bopp and Hyakutake.
