| Solar activity drives a set of events and processes in interplanetary space known as space weather. Space weather events are responsible for the aurora, but also have adverse effects such as disrupting satellites. Gregory Bee, an EMU senior physics major, will discuss his recent research experience in this field. Many space science topics will be covered, such as the solar wind, the geomagnetic field, solar storms, substorms, and the relationship between the aurora and magnetic fields.
