The Silent Faces in Physics
Description
Folks often think that only men of European, Asian, European-American, or Asian-American heritage study and do research in physics. It is certainly true that many very valuable contributions to the discipline have come from these groups of individuals. However, there are many scientists twho are African-American, Native American, Latino, and/or female who have done amazing work. Come learn about these people and get a sense of how diverse the folks really are who study physics. You might even see a "face like yours" in the crowd!

This presentation is co-sponsored by the EMU Division of Enrollment Services and the Holman Learning Center as part of the EMU 4-S Program.

339 Strong Hall, at noon.

Bring a sandwich!  Juices, soda pop, and dessert will be provided.
