Space Weather:  Sun-Earth Connections
Description
As many of our technologies become more sophisticated, they also become more vulnerable to disturbances in the space environment -- space weather.  In this talk I will discuss the space environment, solar influences, space weather storms and the ways they affect various technologies.  I will also discuss our efforts to develop physics based models to describe and predict the space environment which could be used for operational space weather predictions.
