Mr. Norb Vance
Sputnik and Beyond
Description
Nearly 50 years ago, on October 4, 1957, the Soviet Union started the Space Age by launching Sputnik, the first satellite, into orbit. This event produced a huge reaction in the United States, resulting in the establishment of NASA in July 1958 and its manned and robotic space exploration programs that continue today. Mr. Vance will take us on a tour of past, present, and future space exploration.
