Studies of Surfaces at the University of California, Davis
Description
The study and analysis of surfaces (Surface Science) is an important and continually-evolving area of research. As technological advances continue to miniaturize the world we live in, the nano-scale properties of surfaces, and the behavior of molecules adsorbed to such surfaces, become much more important to understand.

Stephanie, an EMU senior research physics major, will discuss her summer research experience in this field, as well as explain how other students can participate in NSF-funded Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) programs across the country.
