during the past summer. As part of a Research Experience for Undergraduates
(REU) program at the University of Michigan, he worked with the Michigan
High Energy Spin Physics group to update and maintain a polarized proton
gas target. He also attended the Polar Aeronomy and Radio Science
(PARS) Summer School at the Arecibo dish in Puerto Rico, where he conducted
an experiment to examine small-scale structures in the E- and F-Regions
of the atmosphere.
Josh will describe
how he got involved with these projects and discuss the overall experience
of performing summer research.
