Dr. Ernie Behringer
The Physics of Comic Book Superheroes
Description
Superheroes have amazing superpowers: they can leap tall buildings in a single bound, sling spider webs, move at superspeed, manipulate weather, produce optical blasts, and quantum mechanically tunnel through solid doors.  We'll apply our knowledge of introductory physics to take a look at the consequences of wielding some of these superpowers.  You might be surprised at what we find!

With thanks to Prof. Jim Kakalios of the University of Minnesota for the inspiration!
